color sorted bookshelves

January 18, 2014

The most eye-catching thing in my apartment surely is my color sorted bookshelf (picture 6). The first time I saw a bookshelf with books sorted in this way on the internet, I knew that this is something I want!
Since I have about 300 books it was no problem but still a great effort. But it was worth it and visitors are admiring every time.
On the internet you can find some really inspiring pictures of color sorted bookshelves, so here are my favorites:

soft and pure apartment

January 11, 2014

This apartment was already shown some time ago on many blogs, but I'd like to share it here because it's one of my absolute favorite apartments. It belonged to Swedish fashion blogger and fashion journalist Elin Kling and it was for sale. I love the soft colors and the minimalist interior and that there's no clutter and only little decoration. Particularly the bedroom exudes all these qualities.

apartment with industrial look in perfection

January 8, 2014

This apartment includes the most important elements to get the industrial look perfect! The metro tiles, the factory lamp, the raw metal chairs and of course the Smeg in the kitchen, the big factory window between the living room and the bedroom and the brass fittings in the bathroom. Moreover, the collection of vintage bird prints above the couch in the living room is stunning!

apartment with a dreamy bedroom

January 5, 2014

The bedroom in this apartment is like a white cloud - at first glance simply functional, but so beautiful dreamy. It is almost pure white, only minor details are adding some touches of green. And how could it be otherwise - the vintage botanical chart leaning against the wall is my favorite object in this room.

welcome 2014 with some paper art

January 1, 2014

I hope you all started well in 2014! This New Year's Eve was a quiet and cozy one for me and I spent the last afternoon in the old year with making some paper art from an old book. I saw this way of decoration on many blogs and I love it. You just have to fold the corners of the pages inward - that's it!
I wish you all the best for 2014!
