At this time of year I really start to yearn for snow...
So these pictures are just right, showing snow-white interior and - as icing on the cake - a splash of color! A perfect way of using color.

This house is just the right way of modern living! Little different colors, many design classics and pink in carefully measured doses. The kitchen with the marble countertop, the tiles in the bathroom, the super soft bedroom - no clutter, not too much from anything, every detail is perfect. And the nursery is just every little girl's dream!

simple elegance

I'm head over heels in love with the white wainscot in this apartment! Nothing can give more elegance to a room. Also the predominance of the color white with only a few objects adding color, like the pillows on the couch and the bed, the artwork on the wall and the stunning blue Bumling lamp in the kitchen. Soft and luxurious - without being pompous or cluttered.

This cozy apartment is full of wonderful decoration objects. Lamps, prints, mirrors, pillows - well-chosen objects in every corner. My favorites are the flower print from Jonna Fransson above the couch and the flip mirror from Normann Copenhagen in the bedroom.

There's something calming about this apartment. Love the color palette of greys, browns and black, especially the copper accents in the hallway. Moreover, I have a weakness for the left print on the wall above the couch - would fit perfectly for my empty wall over my television.

DIY cork trivet with a golden highlight

As christmas is not far off, here's a little DIY! It's a simple trivet made from cork balls and a leather cord. It makes the perfect underlay for hot teapots and pans. As a little highlight I added a single golden ball, which I've painted with spray paint. A perfect little christmas present which does not take too much time to make it.

You need: 15 cork balls (3 cm diameter) with a hole (in case you can't get bored cork balls, you can bore them yourself), 60 cm leather cord, gold spray paint

Start by carefully spraying one of the cork balls with the spray paint and leave to dry. After drying string the cork balls onto the leather cord and tie the ends firmly with a double knot. Finished!
